New technology offers clearer view for people with poor vision

Trifocal lens are now available for surgical procedures in Shanghai, offering a cure for presbyopia, myopia and cataracts with one medical procedure.


The high-tech lens deliver an exceptional combination of near, intermediate and distance vision while significantly reducing the need for glasses after surgery.


“AcrySof IQ PanOptix is the most advanced technology at present," said Li Wensheng, president of Shanghai Ai’er Hospital. It has conducted its first implant on a patient from Taiwan.


“With the development of technology and people’s rising demand for quality of life, the trifocal lens allows people to enjoy clear short, middle and far distance vision," Li said.
