With roses in hand to offer others fragrance’. Chinese woman saved from kidney failure a decade ago helps more than 1,000 patients since life-saving transplant

A woman in China who has helped more than 1,000 kidney disease sufferers after she had a successful transplant more than a decade ago has inspired mainland social media.

Hou Jia from Hunan province in central China supports kidney disease patients. After she survived renal failure in 2012, she was determined to give a hand to other patients with the disease, Shanhai Video reported.

Hou was diagnosed with renal failure during a pregnancy in 2009, leaving her in despair. Luckily, she found hope after she successfully got a kidney transplant in 2012, which left her with strong empathy for other patients and decided to help them however she could.

I have to give back to the community. I want to do something for the patients,” Hou told Shanhai Video.
