Sign language will describe Disney parade

By Li Qian

Hearing-impaired visitors to the Shanghai Disney Resort can now “hear” the daytime parade.

Sign language services have been available in shows and performances across the resort, including Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration at Evergreen Playhouse and Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack’s Stunt Spectacular at El Teatro Fandango.

On Wednesday, International Day of Sign Languages, the resort expanded the service to Mickey’s Storybook Express.

This parade features a dedicated viewing area in Disney•Pixar Toy Story Land, where sign language specialists interpret the fun phrases and lyrics sung by Disney characters as they pass by on their floats.
