The Hong Kong government will offer a HK$20,000 subsidy to each district centre to assist elderly voters and those with disabilities in casting their ballots in next month’s “patriots only” Legislative Council (LegCo) elections.

The one-off grant will be used to provide “convenience measures” to senior citizens, people with disabilities, and their caretakers on Election Day, December 7, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun announced on Facebook on Tuesday.
