A Chinese man who was born with no thumbs and raised in the Netherlands has turned adversity into a brilliant display of creativity, sparking admiration across social media.

Qiao Aalbers, 26, was born with just eight fingers. The rare condition is often caused by genetic factors or infections during pregnancy.

Originally from China, Aalbers was reportedly adopted by a Dutch couple at just four months old and moved to the Netherlands to grow up.
